Wherever you are on your path of parenting you child born with a cleft you will have experienced that one conversation, scan, or birth that changed the picture you thought you were walking into.
When all of a sudden your days became filled with appointments, medical language, feeding advice, surgery discussions and questions you never imagined you'd have to ask.
People around you tell you how strong you are.
What they don't always see is everything happening underneath.
The fear.
The guilt.
The overwhelm.
The endless "what ifs".
The pressure to hold it all together for everyone else.
If that feels familiar, you're in the right place.
When something unexpected happens, your brain and nervous system are designed to protect you.
Some people become hyper-focused and some shut down.
Some throw themselves into research and some look completely calm while internally they're running on survival mode.
None of those responses make you a bad parent.
They make you human.
The problem is that cleft care can immediately and understandably focus on the medical journey and what often gets overlooked is the emotional one. This can still happen, even with emotional support, because as mothers we are hard wired to put our baby's needs first.
And that's the part Rooted & Resilient was created to support.
This isn't another course telling you which bottles to buy or what questions to ask at clinic.
You probably already have those lists.
This is about you.
About helping you understand what's happening inside your body and nervous system so you can move through this journey feeling more grounded, connected and confident.
Not because everything suddenly becomes easy.
But because you no longer feel like you're facing it completely alone.
Why your emotional responses make sense after diagnosis, birth or surgery.
How your nervous system influences the way you experience this journey.
The difference between anxiety and intuition.
Gentle body-led practices to help you regulate when everything feels overwhelming.
A new way of approaching cleft parenting that supports both you and your child.
You're pregnant and have recently received a cleft diagnosis.
Your baby or child has been born with a cleft and you're still processing everything.
Your teenager is struggling with their self image.
You spiral before appointments or surgeries.
You carry guilt for feelings you think you "shouldn't" have.
You want to support your child emotionally as well as medically.
You want to feel steadier, calmer and more connected as you navigate this journey.
Wherever you are on your cleft parenting journey, you're welcome here.
Most support begins with your child.
This begins with you.
Not because your child isn't your priority, of course they are.
But because the way you feel has an enormous impact on how you experience this journey together. The way you feel sets the tone in your home.
When you begin to understand your nervous system, notice your patterns and create more emotional safety for yourself, you naturally become a centered anchor for your child.
Not perfect. Present.
And that changes more than you might realise, for both of you.

I created Rooted & Resilient because I've lived this journey.
I'm the mother of a daughter born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate.
Like many parents, I thought I was coping.
Years later I realised I hadn't processed what had happened at all.
My fear had simply changed shape. It became overprotection, worry, comparison and constant self-doubt.
That realisation changed everything.
It led me to train as an Integrated Trauma-Informed Coach, Brainspotting Practitioner and Spinal Energetics Practitioner, allowing me to understand the cleft journey through the lens of trauma, attachment, emotional safety and the nervous system.
Rooted & Resilient is the course I wish someone had handed me all those years ago.
Imagine walking into appointments without your nervous system already in overdrive.
Imagine recognising when fear is speaking instead of believing every anxious thought.
Imagine feeling more connected to yourself.
More able to enjoy your child.
More confident that you don't have to have all the answers today.
The medical pathway may still be the same.
But the way you experience it can feel completely different.
A warm introduction to the emotional side of cleft parenting.
Easy-to-understand teaching on your nervous system.
Guided reflections to help you understand your own responses.
Gentle body-led regulation practices.
A framework for building a more grounded foundation for yourself and your child.
This isn't about fixing you, because there is nothing wrong.
It's about helping you understand yourself so you can confidently move forward on this path with knowledge, tools and self understanding you will not forget.
If you've been carrying this journey on your own...
If you've spent nights searching the internet for answers while quietly wondering why nobody talks about how this feels...
If you're ready to feel a little more supported, a little more grounded and a little less alone...
Rooted & Resilient is here for you.
For just £24, this is a gentle investment in yourself that has the potential to shape how you experience the journey ahead.
